I like to have my favorite kind of chocolate as a special treat or celebration.
I find adding color to a celebration really helps liven up any party. Adding balloons, flowers or even just colorful napkins makes all the difference.
Smile at everyone you see. 🙂
Spending time with family (:
Beautiful!
Those are all great suggestions, thank you everyone for posting. I can’t wait to see what other suggestions get submitted.
I add more celebration to my life by treating myself to little luxuries like flowers, movie nights, a quality glass of wine, live music, sleeping in on my days off, playing with the horses next door, spending hours with the New York Times on Sunday afternoons, a fancy cuppa in a nice mug or fine china…but you did say tip (not tips). Hard to pick just one favorite : )
I love all of those things too – I’m glad you listed more than one idea! Thanks Valynne 🙂
Beer!
Enough said 🙂
I celebrate as often as I can by going on a solo bike ride. I don’t plan the route, stop whenever I feel like taking in the view or taking a photo, petting a horse, dog, goat, donkey, or whatever wildlife i see along the way. Just enjoying the wind in my face, smell of fresh air, and the exhilaration of a fun descent after a long climb is invigorating! Reason to celebrating having the lungs and the legs to ride a bike!
That sounds like something I would enjoy too! I need to get my bike out and ready for the season and then I can try your suggestion. Thank you!
Hello from beautiful Montana,
Thanks to Brad for forwarding this from you. I like to celebrate by telling people what beautiful children they have. In my mind, I always hope they will treat their children with more respect if they know that others see, value and appreciate them. Sometimes parents are so busy with daily trivia (like making a living) that they forget how beautiful and precious their child is. It takes a village to raise children and we are all part of that village. Judy Helm Wright aka “Auntie Artichoke”
Hi Judy – glad to see you on my blog! That’s a wonderful way to celebrate and appreciating children is a beautiful thing. 🙂
I sometimes like to celebrate by spending an entire day with myself, just doing everything I want to do. Once in a while I need days where I have little interaction with the outside world and just treat myself to little things, like read a magazine I would never have time for at a coffeeshop or go for a walk in a new neighborhood.
It really helps me quiet my mind and at the end of the day it really feels like a celebration of life.
I love those ideas – I do that too sometimes 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
i celebrate when i see my two boys smiling and healthy…god is great and with them in my life everything is worth smiling…theyre all i have and all i need to be happy and greatful…i came from a not so great past and love making this change and moving forward in the world…….loving life
Thank you so much Valencia, you are so right 🙂
