February is coming to an end and Spring is almost here! Like many of you, I’m ready for the sun. My daughter and her family were in town this month, and we had lots of fun rollerskating. I felt like a 10-year old kid again. This month, Portland was also hit by an out-of-character snow storm. The storm shut our city down for several days, with snow and freezing rain. The weather caused unsafe driving conditions, but also created beautiful ice sculptures on the trees and road signs. Marley enjoyed the snow, although he wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. A few weeks later, signs of Spring are at last visible everywhere. Flowers are blooming, and trees are budding. The end of one season is near and the start of a new one awaits.
At LifeOhm, some exciting things are on the way as well. I’ve written a series of yoga articles that will appear on PlumDeluxe in March and April, so please watch for those. Chris Guillebeau’s Pioneer Nation is coming to Portland in March, along with the World Domination Summit in July, and I’m lucky to be attending both. I’m also working on a very special meetup for WDS attendees and hope to see you there!
Lastly, I’m excited to announce the winner of the giveaway from the 7 Steps to Reach Your Goal with Visual Goal Setting post.
And the winner is … Lorna Gunn! Congratulations Lorna! As promised, you’ll receive an autographed copy of Drawing Solutions: How Visual Goal Setting Will Change Your Life. Thank you so much to everyone who registered and thank you for all your wonderful support!

That snow storm was wild! I got stuck at PDX airport on my way home from a business trip during that storm. Luckily I have family in Portland that came to my rescue! 🙂
Hi Beeb – good to see you on my blog, thanks for stopping by. That was a crazy snowstorm. I was used to seeing those in Montana but was amazed at how the whole city shuts down here. It was fun though, definitely an experience. Sorry you were delayed by it. Best ~Monica
So true! In Montana that would have been considered no big deal, but our infrastructure just can’t handle it out here, LOL! I was snowed in for 4 days before there was a bus running back to Seaside – 26 was still un-drivable. Crazy!
Wow, I didn’t know it was that long. It’s great that you have family here at least. Snow definitely keeps life interesting in Portland 🙂 Have a great week!
You too Monica! 🙂
